Completely agree.... poor display from Henderson...with that sort of performance Pardew can have him back.

From what I saw, he didn't have too bad a first touch (we always thought it was shocking), and set up the second goal very well. Won over 50% of his headers, which is something that most players don't do, and was up against Shittu, who IMO is pretty damn good.

The lad'll come good. Just give him time. He has good awareness and can bang a ball facking hard. Just don't allow him to dribble, or you'll regret it!

Thats why we have opinions....in mine he looked "OK" but nothing special, possibly not match fit ??? Seemed very sluggish on a couple of runs, :dunce:

He ain't ever gonna set the world on fire with dazzling pace or skill like Mr Knight, but he is a one man battering ram like an old-style centre forward, with a shot like Hasselbaink. If anyone saw his goal for us against Millwall last year you'd know what I mean.

Goater is very similar to him actually, just a Division One version ;)

You'll think he's doing fack all, and then suddenly he sets someone up or gets stuck in and plays a good through ball. Also you probably saw he's got a mean cross on him.

Shittu and Carlisle are quality, remember... wanted at Division 1 level. If you play someone less good in Division Two then he'll destroy them!

I am going on what I saw of McPhee at Crawley and at Oldham when he came on for Henderson.

I know what you're saying Wilts but he hasn't convinced me yet and I would prefer McPhee to start a match with Henderson on the bench.

the fact is, either mcphee is a brighton player or he isnt. if knight, coppell, booker etc think he is good enough to play pro football then i say he is the kid who should be given the chance. also, harsh to drop him after his great display at BR.

is Scott Ramsay better than Henderson

.....quite possibly

still, he did well in the air tonight against as good a pair of centre backs as we're likely to face this season - Jury's out for the mo

Thought that Henderson looked very sluggish at first, but improved as the game went on, with some intelligent lay-offs and a couple of good shots. And he laid on the winner, so I think he came out ahead in the end.
