An open letter to Gus Poyet

Dorset Seagull

Once Dolphin, Now Seagull
Dear Gus

What you have achieved at this club in the short time you have been here is nothing short of miraculous. This must go down as the greatest manager debut season that has ever been witnessed in English football given that where we were when you joined and where we are now - on every level of the football club.

However should there be a clamouring of Premier clubs seeking your managerial skills in the near future then you must consider the following.

You are still on the managerial learning curve and can't be sure you are ready for the step up to the heady heights of Premiership football. If you did take the leap and fall short it would be a massive step back in your career prospects. Better that you stay where you are a bit longer where you have an opportunity to hone your skills and see how far you can progress with your current employers.

If it doesn't work out then at least nothing will have been lost and the chance of that top job will still be attainable. If it does work out then you would have the satisfaction of knowing that you had fulfilled a dream for yourself and many thousands of others

Yours

A lifelong Albion fan

I'm sure Gus Poyet will welcome your advice and expertise on the football industry, it's not like he's been in it his whole working life.

Pretty patronising of you I must say... and quite wrong, its clear Gus enjoys a challenge and takes risks.

Nice thoughts.

Don't listen to the dissing posts before, they're all JCL wankers.
