Plastics are people who go to watch the big teams. Like you. You have no credability.

Yeah right, I have watched Brighton all through the divisions and been to more lower league grounds than you have probably been to grounds in total, but now answer the question, where were your lot for Championship football, or is Selhurst always full these days with away fans like when Cantonna fly kicked that bloke,. the picture show palace, half the crowd had man u hats and shirts on.. and that was supposed to be your end

So why don't you go now seeing you're obviously #1 fan who travels over land & sea but not to Brighton? I can't answe why people are plastics, maybe that's a question you can answer with your ideals of supporting the closest team you live near? I'm genuinely intrigued to know if you enjoy the match day experience hedging your bets that one of the teams you support will win.

I only support one team but watch lots of teams depending on where I live. I always have which is why I'm quite good at comparing clubs support as I ve watched football regularly up and down the country over the years. Have you really never done the same? So at last, an admission that palace support is plastic. So now with that admission, how on earth do you give stick to Brighton for being plastic when its Brighton who get 30000 for lower league football. You lot just make things up to hide your embarrassment

Er no mate Withdean was sold out first 3 seasons we returned from playing in Gillingham, bu will you answer the question where have your fans come from this season and where were they last tear?

Same as where yours were in the last years at The Goldstone and at The Withdean! And you talk if no other clubs gates increase when they are promoted, it happens at every club Pridey, but unlike Brightons they don't quadruple because of padded seats, song sheets, Magiko words complete with jazz hands and Spanish days! Brighton of all clubs have no moral ground to take against any other clubs fans trust me

I've only called you plastic, not the people who go to watch Brighton rather than Chelsea. Palace & Brighton are similar clubs size wise. The majority of people who go are real fans. You on the other hand would rather give your money to a Russian billionare than to the club you alledgedly love. You are a disgrace to your club but front on this message board and try to sound like a genuine supporter.

Hull City ??? They left Boothferry Park and instantly trebled their average attendance at the KC.

Kudos to the Withdean faithful but as many threads on here testify, the JCL's and plastics are becoming a source of annoyance to the true Brighton fans

True football fans have respect for other football fans - whether they have been going to games for 10 months, 10 years or 50 years.

Calling others plastic or JCLs is simply showing disrespect for football fans and disqualifies those showing such disrespect from being considered true football fans themselves.

On the contrary I have massive respect to The Brighton fans who used to go to The Withdean and especially Gillingham

What about respect for those who only started going to matches when the Amex was completed or went to watch Palace when they got promoted ???

They are just as much football fans as someone who regualarly went to Gillingham, Withdene or attend every possible away game for Palace, Brighton or any other football club.

Fans who directly pay money into the sport and show their support for the game by attending venues to watch live games are the lifeblood of football and need to be encouraged not denigrated by attaching labels to them.

Also, we haven't had the joy of Yeovil. The perks of being Premier League rather than 'Premier League ready'

What is it with Palace fans and Yeovil? You lot constantly taking the piss out of Yeovil is akin to those Chelsea, Spurs and Man Utd fans who consider clubs like Palace an irrelevant nonentity. Can you not see that? Patronising in the extreme.

What about the 34000 at the goldstone for sa Rochdale in the 3rd division? To sum up your the argument that you lot have invented to make yourselves feel better, you think that 30,000 turnup to watch Championship football at Brighton because the seat is padded, and because a marketing gimmik to put a clacker on a seat for game then a club like palace who struggled to get 14000 to pay for games in the championship and whose fans voluntarily take drums to football have proper fans. I'm sure your logic makes you feel better but it doesn't stand up to even the most brief logic test. Palace need top flight people to turn up, Brighton dont, that is the bottom line.

Not at all. I believe Yeovil are a proper team, a success story for how a small town can compete. Yeovil.was thrown at me, I stated a fact that we have not played in the same league so is an irrelvant point.

£10 says you wasn't one of the 34,000. You talk good support but lack actual support.

Except your baseless argument is based on under 3 seasons of football of your entire history.

We respect the fact you're continuing to get good crowds but please don't suggest this has been the case for the last 100+ years, it's embarassing.

Interesting that you voluntarily mentioned the clackers, and you call our support tin pot? I wouldn't dare pick up one of those.

We got 38000 v Millwall in the old Third division in 1976 and held the record for the third tier attendance for quite a while until The Sheffiled derby beat it some years later. What's your point?

:lolol:

Are you on here all the time? Do you literally have nothing better to do?

They are below us in the table, their average attendance is less than our STHs and when we thrashed them on a Friday a couple of years ago they were out of the Amex like Ultras looking for their police escort. History means nothing any more. Ask Leeds or Pompey.

You are right, both Shef W and Leeds are way bigger than Brighton, its just that Brighton get bigger crowds than them.. now say that line to a Shef W or Leeds fan and see their face light up, then slowly as they get the joke, face drop..

(and in wednesday case, there was an amusing post by someone a while back that showed on head to heads when the clubs played each other, Goldstone crowds were bigger than one's at their place... this particularly amusing in Shef W case as they really hated it.)
