The local MLS side is the Red Bulls and they are shite, but did stuff FC Toronto 5-0 on their last league game. There is talk about resurrecting the New York Cosmos franchise.
I'm a fully paid up member of the ESC (Red Bulls supporters club) and we were shite last year. Red Bull Arena in Harrison NJ and the arrival of Thierry Henry (hopefully) next year will change all that. :smokin:

I don't think Cosmos will ever happen personally.

P.S. It's Toronto FC, not FC Toronto.

I love both American Football and Baseball.
As i have actually seen the Devil Rays in action they're my team. The Yankees are like the Man Utd of baseball so I would never pick them !
Although I have been to Wembley the past two years for the football I have never seen a match in the States so would probably have to pick the Buccaneeers
I don't mind the hockey but I cannot see the point of basketball - I mean it's total anathema to an English football fan as you're supposed to score every time you get the ball and matches end up with scores like 104 -102 !!

Watched the NFL on C4 since the mid 1980's and have even gone across the pond to watch a game live (Miami/Indianapolis so saw Dan Marino & Eric Dickerson in action circa 1990).

Played in an NFL Fantasy League for years which helped me keep up an interest when C4 packed up its coverage.

The last couple of years have seen me rather too busy keeping my company afloat to follow it too closely plus I dont want to give Rupert Murdoch any of my money so only get to watch live games when working offshore!

Long time Miami Dolphin Fan - shame they have been so crap for years:down:

I'm afraid rounders, hockey and netball are girly games so I have no interest in them....

Baseball by a street - I've watched many a game on obscure channels over the years (I'm a Boston Red Sox man).

I don't mind hockey, particularly if there's a decent punch-up but American football and basketball bore the hell out of me - I'd probably rather watch show jumping than either of those (and I hate show jumping)

Basketball easily, then Hockey.

NFL is the worst, nothing more than a robotic human game of chess.

The NBA and NHL provide far more excitement over a season than the NFL and MLB do.

Not Luton! Thank God
I thought I used to like Baseball but then watched a few matches on the telebox when I was out in America and found it excrucitaingly dull. Some people say that cricket is dull but at least they hit the ball more than once every 10 minutes.

Do like NFL though. Probably one of the most strategic sports on the planet.

Anyone in the know, which is the most successful city/state/area in America, Top 4 sports-wise?

Is it New York? I would've thought so.

Interesting question.

Might be even more interesting if it was ranked per capita
