I am not impressed with altering the course while the race is underway,
not a problem before the whistle blows but reduces the skills required .

Starting to think that Ben Ainslie should have stuck to Dinghy racing, losing the lead so quickly having taken it at the start is a complete NO NO at this level of sailing

Heading for a 7-0

You are quoting a post that's eleven years old! (I'm not even sure he posts on here any more).
Thank Christ for that! Can you imagine the binfest potential of Tyrone Biggums and Han Solo going head on at each other

Its a common occurence on all boat racing. If the wind drastically changes direction mid race its to ensure that you cant sail the length of the course all on the same tack.

View attachment 190219Had four days in Barcelona watching Britannia beat the Italians. If you're over there, try to get on the water to watch the racing.

You must have been there the same time as me. I had a 3 day trip to Barcelona and had no idea The Americas Cup was on! I went down to the water and saw the whole village they have set up. I caught a glimpse of the Ineos boat too, it's an impressive thing.

A great day for Team GB.

"Number 5 was Lee Ward
Number 6 was Wind Ward...
We're all living in a Wardy Wonderland!"

NZ helmsman Burling needs to rebuke his crew with some STERN words.

If only they had a keel they could keelhaul him. Foilhaul doesn’t seem harsh enough
