Although I feel that it makes me a very very bad person indeed i cannot help but feel that I want England to lose in Israel.

My reasoning is that should we lose and further f*** up our chances of qualifying for Euro 2008 then it can only hasten the departure of McClaren - and i can only think that this would be a good thing. The sooner he goes the better.

Am i a bad person for thinking like this?

As much as i want McClaren out, i'd rather there was some scenario where he was sacked and we still qualified.

don't want them to lose, a draw would be good. McClaren will get loads of grief but we will have a chance of qualifiying. A win and the papers will be my we are good best in the world all that balls

Can't say i have ever wanted an England team to lose, but i don't like McClaren he is out of his depth and a complete Sven clone, so i sort of understand where you are coming from.

I got to the stage at the end of Barry Lloyds reign that I stopped going (missed games for a month - first and only time ever by choice ie not on holiday or working - I remember being pleased when we lost 4-0 at Port Vale I think) and hoped we would lose so he would be sacked!

If McCaren went who would be the new boss?

Anyway as I am heading to Tel Aviv on Friday I would hope that we could manage a win so as to give us a chance of qualifications for the Euros!

Yes you are wrong. Whatever I feel about the England I ALWAYS want us to win. Well almost always. There was one time when Keegan left and Howard Wilkinson was caretaker. We were playing France at Wembley, it was only a friendly and I was PRAYING for a French victory. If Wilkinson's England had won he might have got the job full time and we'd never have enjoyed the Golden Era we did under the great Sven. (My tongue is only half in my cheek).

I know where you're coming from but for better or worse we're stuck with McClown for now.

I don't really want us to lose but will lose no sleep if we do. Apart from anything else, I simply can't get excited about the Euros in the same way as I can about the World Cup. If we have to fail in qualifying for a major tournament, please please please let it be this one and not the first ever WC in Africa.

One thing though - if we fail to qualify, don't think for a minute that the RUDDY FACED PRICK will be out of a job. He won't. Not until he's totally f***ed up 2010 World Cup qualification.
