...It's a matter of taste....
You're not wrong, there.
...It's a matter of taste....
Absolutely
Being number one (as Leona somehow is atm) does not mean you're any good. These days it invariably means you've got very good marketing people behind you. Just look at Crazy Frog, for crying out loud.
.
not really overly keen on people who insist in closing their eyes when singing...
I'd like to see you do better!
I realise because shes come out of a talent show, it is popular to not like these people - I dont like x factor at all, but you cant deny that this girl has serious talent. She went to Sylvia Young - hardly somewhere to go when you aren't talented!!
I hadn't heard of her until she turned on the lights on Oxford Street last week.
She is probably quite talented but sounds a bit too much like Mariah Carey for my liking and incase you haven't guessed I'm not a fan of that warbling, mentally instable, large mouthed bitch.
I think that the people who slate her do so because it is fashionable amongst the small minded. To say that she has no talent is ridiculous. It may not be to everyones taste but to slag it off because you don't personally like it is a bit petty.
She has a great voice and a great future. Will i be buying her album? - no.
It's certainly not me who needs to broaden my horizons.
.
no - I slate her because her talent is unremarkable and she is manufactured. What does she bring to the music that 100 similar women on X Factor couldn't?
I get pissed off because there are really really talented singers, who sing with real passion and soul and can't get record contracts to highlight their much greater talent than this warbling canary. Have you ever heard of Hafdis Huld? Of Francois Breut?
The record industry doesn't want to take a chance on someone who has worked hard for their art, who they may have to take a chance on and instead go for an easy option for people who buy their music from Tescos.
I am certainly not small-minded when it comes to music and there are lots of light fluffy stuff out there that I adore. It's lazy, music by numbers with a pretty songstress that can be manipulated by leeching cnuts like Cowell and Walsh, who sing songs written on a never ending conveyor belt of blandness to fuckwits who can't be bothered to look past radio 1 and southern sound that get my goat.
So get out there and support LIVE ACTS. You might be surprised.
It's certainly not me who needs to broaden my horizons.
rant over.
no maybe not - I suggest a hearing aid may help more
for which singer, Rob? It's not Leona's voice that grates. It's how she came to have a song in the 1st place.
