I dont mind as long as clubs treat us the same. Will Palace give us more than 10%?

I'm struggling to think how they can squeeze that many seats out of the south east corner without having to encroach into the south stand and that means losing even more seats to creating a space between away and home fans thus reducing the capacity overall. Any experts able to quote the maths? Maybe 3.3K is for cup games - seems to make more sense.

As for CPFC I think after the way they treated us I would find a reason (safety etc) to reduce their allocation to the bare minimum.

Just been at the ground to buy another season ticket for a mate and was wondering how many away fans were allowed and asked. 3,300 the chap said. Bit stunned as thats more than 10%.

It's the maximum, it's 3,300 for cup and certain league games maybe. Home support, match by match will have first dibs on the 800 extra that are allocated for cup.
The nice Scottish bloke sold me my ST and he's the ticket office guru.

Makes sense to me.

When whole of south given over for cup games it would be about 4500 which is what will be required next year when stadium at capacity.

Looks like someone planned the stadium properly.

Splitting the south about 1200 plus south east corner plus east stand gives the 3300 maximum split, using the built in concourse partitions.

I was told 2.5k when I bought my season ticket. 3.3k is probably just for cup games.

Direct quote from the paper I have in front of me :

'They will offer an away allocation of up to 3,300, which will allow about 2,000 tickets to be sold to home fans on a match-by-match basis'

So to me that means maximum allocation, including cup games.

Ok, fair enough. It must be a bit of a U turn. Maybe we didn't sell as many ST's as the club were hoping.

That means you will always get several columns (front to back) of permanently unused seats just to the side of the south goal in order to divide the fans.

Assuming the away fans numbers drop a little (less novelty value) there will probably be 2000 to 2500 empty seats in the south east corner every game unless they agree numbers wanted by the away club in advance and tweek non ST sales to home fans upwards accordingly. Right now it is in the club's interest to scare the hoverers into buying the last remaining 1000 ST's by suggesting that casual tickets will be even harder to come by.

As Brighton will pretty much sell out with season tickets, then the club might be thinking that it makes sense too use the resources of other clubs to sell their other tickets. That will work for Leeds, Shef W and the clubs in the south east. As for the Burnley type clubs then I expect they will sell about 800 to 1500 and the balance will be sold in the week before the game to Albion fans.

Certain games? What games will they be then? allow sheffield wednesday 3,3000 but not Leeds for an exsample?

I think it actually fits in with your previous post about away allocation being 2500, but 3300 in cup games ( and for occasional league games ).

So 2 blocks of ESL and the South East Corner for away fans is 3,300? It seems like alot. If its less than that, then the away fans will still be in the South stand which is what Gus didn't want.

Don't see what the big deal is. As they did this season, they will liaise with the away club to find out what they expect to sell. If they think they'll sell out, they'll get the lot. If they don't, they'll give them blocks of tickets to sell, and they can ask for more if they need them. If they don't, then they get flogged to home fans.

Nothing has really changed??
