Has there ever been an occasion when someone has gone back and it has been succesful??

I can't think of one, although I can think of a fair few that haven't.

Eddie Gray did alright at Leeds(in 2003-04), they looked completely destroyed under Peter Reid(20 goals conceded in 5 starts with Roque Junior playing) with his army of dodgy loan signings, but Gray almost got them to stay up before they narrowly went down, much like our season with Coppell

I'm not sure you can say he has achieve nothing.

7th place is an above expectation finish with a small squad and a small budget.

He's replaced some poor players with some very good ones.

He's got us to the point where NSC users are (were) saying that their expectations for next season have gone up based on what they have seen this season.

We're still in business.

There have been mistakes, and he has WON nothing, but he has some achievements.
