All this talk of the team being sh*t

Is rubbish. This team (pretty much) came 7th last year. It is down to Knight and Adams for the mistakes they have made over the season. Not the teams fault.

If the team is shit that would make Wilkins a f***ing good manager, which he wasn't. (not saying he was bad just saying he wasn't amazing).

Its not the same team though is it. Bar Kuipers, Whing, Elphick, Cox and possibly Fraser the players that started today were not here or not regular last season. Shocking turnaround in players

I am not talking about the players that played today. I am talking about the squad. (which only has so many loan players in it becuase Adams couldn't get the squad to do what Wilkins did with it last year).

Even then you're not quite right because of the huge turnover of players during this season.

Adams inherited some decent foundations to build on - he f***ed it up in the summer and then continually throughout the season, bringing in the wrong players, often in the wrong positions, getting players who aren't interested, aren't very good, aren't any better than what we had already. What you end up with is a mish mash of strangers, most of whom aren't actually very good.

Luckily for us most of what Adams should have built on could very well still be here next season (plus McNulty). Kuipers, Whing, Elphick, maybe Lynch (though probably not), McNulty, Cox, Forster, Murray. There's a lot of shit to be cleaned out too though.
