There must be a few of us amongst us Seagull supporters, (we've seen a few of those Seagulls). Have any of you watched "Sea Patrol" on Sky...I thought it was quite good...A drama I know, but it does remind me of seatime...Thoughts.:bigwave:

Ex D108 here, not impressed by Sea Patrol, try Ark Royal tonight on discovery, or better still grab the Sailor box set, a BBC series in the 70's, proper AC Carrier too.

I was on the old Ark (a proper carrier that actually carried aircraft) and managed to be spotted hiding from work in a film called The Iron Village.....Whilst not in any way against women on ships, I still just cant get my head round it.
All the ratings seem very young, and sometimes a bit stupid...in my imagination, we were all young gods when I was in the andrew, but suspect just the same as whats on these series today...although they seem a lot more polite than we were..
