All day drinking is it the way forward?

The wife and I went over toLeeds to do some shopping yesterday. When we stopped for lunch decided in the Afternoon to enjoy a few beers round Leeds. In the end managed 9 pubs and a total of 11 pints between 12 midday and 10 pm when we got back home. Didn't feel overly drunk all day and no hangover this morning.

Compared to going out at 9 in the evening feeling the need to cane a pint every 15 - 20 mins and a dreeadful hangover the next day all day drinking seems to be the way forward.

I don't know how anyone could afford to be an alcoholic the price of the beer in some places

Would love it if my partner would/could do that. You lucky man!

Some people start at 7 am and finish at 11 pm and consume 30-50 units a day. All good fun but eventually all your internal organs will pack up one by one.

Shes always up for a few drinks and a laugh. Only woman i've been out with who is though, why i married her as we are on the same wavelength so to speak not that she likes getting pissed all the time. Normally once a month we'll just decide on somewhere reasonably local (Sheffield,Leeds,Manchester,Harrogate,York etc) catch the train do a bit of shopping see a few sites museums etc then explore the local pubs have bite to eat etc.

There a lad where i work like that, he must be about 50 but he always smells of booze somedays he'll come in and he has obviously drunk himself stupid the day befroe and slept in his clothes. Work have offered him support but he doesn't seem interested. That's the down side of alcohol unfortunately. I have a general rule that we don't drink in the week.

A fully blown alcoholic will smell of alcohol as it seeps out of their pours, real alcohol as their liver is not processing it effectively anymore. That bloke is at the stage where he does not care anymore.

totally agree. i find i feel the worst when i go out at 9, sink a few and keep going. few times this season we have started with a few cans for away games at 9am, kept it up through the day and gone out (in brum, notts and london) and carried on until 3 or 4 in the morning no problem.

of course it's not always that easy as a few on here who know me will testify

We have one or two Albion supporting LEGENDS who sadly are in a similar state.

It's not the way forward.

Went out at 2 yesterday. Finished boozing at 5am. Was starting to get light FFS!

Both me and the fiancée are feeling like death on toast today.

Ooops, The mistake there is to not be in bed by midnight - by doing this it gives you time to come round properly.

On summer days like today street drinking is the answer. Four cans of stella in tesco £4. One pint of stella in Brighton pub just under £4.
