I wish they'd call my bloody one off now, rather than at 9.45 on Sunday morning when I've sorted out the kit, pumped up 6 footballs, filled 14 drinks bottles and loaded up the car.

Not to mention the stress it would save me today, scrabbling around to get a team together.

It ridiculous Chris.

Two weeks ago I was away at a wedding, and even without me and our regular captain, we still got 15 there.

Two weeks later and I have EIGHT confirmed. three working, 2 squaddies away on exercise, 2 injured. Waiting on replies from a couple of ringers, and mates of mates, and generally will always manage to struggle up to 12.

Its just annoying knowing that after all the hassle, theres about a 70% chance the thing will be off anyway!
