I'm moving to Singapore in a couple of weeks - flight's booked for 4th April!

Just had a phone interview with a bank out there and the guy (a geordie who's been out of this country for ages) who was interviewing me asked me where I live. I said "Born in Croydon, grew up and still live in Brighton"

He then immediately says "It must be difficult choosing a team to support", straight away I replied "Nope, absolutely not, I'm an Albion supporter and always have been". We then had a five minute conversation about how he found it strange that Palace and us are rivals - one of the other London clubs he could understand.

So, there it is - even a geordie 10,000 miles away knows we hate Palace.

(I'm was very impressed with myself that I avoided using words like "scum" during the conversation!)

it is generally known that we dislike our croydon neighbours.....last year in thailand i was approched by a local on the island of ko tao who had seen me wearing my brighton shirt and we got into a conversation as it turns out that championship betting is a big thing out there for some reason!! anyway in the conversation he commented on how pleased i should be that palace had narrowly been relegated only the week before after a heroic last day surge from the brummies!

I really hope that palarse miss out on promotion by a 3 point or less margin, the 3 points we took at selhurst would really hurt them then. I'd love to think it was us that stopped them gong up.
