He's in the shop window. AZ Alkmaar have already confirmed we approached them to take him off our hands.

We need a cash for a striker.

Alireza's performance tonight might be the answer to both.

I can’t find the info that we offered Jahanbakhsh to them on reliable news sources eg Guardian, BBC, Sky, Telegraph, Independent, Times.

The rest seem masters of fiction.

Love his accent , mix or northern and cockney wideboy [emoji1]

Really interesting accent. Mix of Persian and Dutch (which I guess is obvious) but there seems to be some cute Mancunian 'innits' and English colloquials as well- 'to be honest' 'gaffer' (!).

Come on, tonight he looked good but it was against Portsmouth. 2 divisions below us.

He is not good enough against premier league opposition.

He'll be gone by 5th October.

You’re one of my favourite contributors JRB, but that’s a bold prediction fella!!

Could be right, though I think he’ll be here as nobody else will pay him 50kpw

Great performance tonight and fair play to him but even he recognised that wasn’t his best game for us. We all know he can do it against the Mickey Mouse teams at the bottom of the Dutch league and the teams Iran play. Pompey a similar standard.

Please do that in the EPL Ali. I’d genuinely love to eat the Humble Pie.

I hope he doesn't.

I much preferred when it was just me and Icy Gull against the world.
I don't recognise 99% of the posters on this thread, anymore. :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

If he could establish himself in the team, he could emulate Bruno and Calderon’s popularity.

Goals against PLB and Chelsea would say otherwise. His issue is not whether he is good enough but whether he can do it consistently.

He had a much more central role than previous games so I wonder if this training hard and improving that Potter mentioned is the club working on a new positional role rather than as a winger ....

Lovely bloke and more importantly a superb finisher, a quality that we are in dire need of. Deserves a run in the team, which I thought he'd get after Bournemouth and Chelsea, to prove himself.

Been one of those that not seen what he offers.

Good performance last night. If can do that v prem players then everyones a winner.

Agree seems a decent bloke so lets hope he pushes on

He's going nowhere.

His first goal and subsequent drop to the knees celebration was one of my all time favourite Albion moments.

Really? 2 prem goals and zero assists in 37 appearances.

Under Potter he has made only 3 premier league starts.

Once we sign a new striker it will be Alireza who drops further down the pecking order, and we just can't afford to have such an expensive asset not making the matchday squad.

Back in June it was reported that Ajax had been in contact and I suspect that's where he'll end up, probably on deadline day.
