He may want to go to one of those clubs, he'd probably like to go to Barcelona, Real or Bayern, but if they don't actually make an offer or they think that £1.4m is too much, then he might not get the option.

He doesn't have to do anything, even if the club accept the offer ..... "fails to agree personal terms"

But it has been reported that we have had a bid accepted for well over a week, yet it doesn't appear any of those other clubs have made a bid or expressed any actual interest.

The thing is the report is seemingly from Jahanbakhsh's agent talking to an individual who reported it on twitter. The agent is Iranian and by "accepted" he could have meant that NEC welcomed the offer or acknowledged it, not necessarily that they accepted everything and it is all up to JB now. Just recently NEC had said that they wanted 2.5-3 mil for him so it is weird to me why they would reportedly so quickly accept the first offer. The agent also could want to engage in a bidding war and raise the price from here after all he is getting a share of the money.

So here we go . Flurry of Dutch stories this morning.
"Brighton look to have won the race for the Celtic and Norwich target."
http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015...-bid-accepted-for-celtic-norwich-target-al-1/

which is effectively a rewrite of these 2 pieces

His agent apparently still saying "No hurry" - mind.

2.5-3 million Euro not pounds.

The translation from both of those papers appears to the same:

NIJMEGEN - NEC has an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion on the transfer of Alireza Jahanbakhsh. The Nijmegen club accepts a bid of more than two million euros for the Iranian international. The tip itself must still reach an agreement with the English club.

Brighton & Hove Albion plays in the Champions Chip, the second level in England. Jahanbakhsh (21) at NEC a contract until June 2016.,, there is enough interest, so we have no hurry, "states Amir Hashemi, the agent of Jahanbakhsh, upon request. Ali just need to think very carefully about this step. "

Both updated with todays date, which seems strange as I thought we'd agreed some time ago the fee with NEC?

Nah it won't. I expect things to really start hotting up on the transfer targets from the middle of next week onwards.

I'm loving all your positive transfer posts but without meaning to sound rude, do you have any sort of track record on here of inside info that delivered???

Ihope this aint going to be like last season ,at the moment it feels like it

I don't know - at this time last year it all seemed OK. Most of us were quite excited at the appointment of Liverpool legend Hyypia as our new manager and hoped to reach the play-offs again - or better. It was only later, after we started playing that the realisation set in that we'd made a lot of mistakes over the summer.
