What? Alopecia is fatal now? She hasn't got cancer, just a disease which makes her hair fall out. She's not too fussed about it, she's given loads of interviews, and calls herself a "big bald baby with boobs". So I don't think she'll be too hung up about being called an alien.

Duncan's hair started growing back again all of a sudden I recall. I went to school with a girl who had alopecia, terrible condition for a teenage girl to have pyschologically. Gail's handled it really well and deserves nothing but praise for taking some of the stigma away for women (and men for that matter) with the condition.

I lost all my hair through chemotherapy and it is unnerving how people react and treat you differently just cos you're a young total baldy. It went from people who would cross the street, avoid eye contact to blokes trying to start on me in pubs 'cos they thought I was a skinhead.

There's nowt as queer as folk.
