Iv view of the fact that Bertin is taking the piss out of the club, the management and its supporters, the fact is he is an ok Div 3 player who was made to look good playing in a woeful side whose form whilst he was here was one of the worst if not worst in Div 3, that fact is he is throwing it back in the face of the manager and club who gave him his chance here, the fact is he can easily be replaced, if it not for the fact on the playing side this club is at its worst for over 10years and in any normal period it would be Alexis who ???

As far as I am concerned Wilkins should withdraw the contract NOW and look elsewhere as I do not want a player here who has no desire to be here and has come here as a last option.

Am I in the minority.

No, I don't think we should, if he does decide to sign then we will benefit form having him in the side. It would be a shame to miss that opportunity should it arise. Also, there may be factors we don't know about, on a personal level, who knows. I'd like Dean to leave the door open.

How can you say he can be easily replaced we struggle to sign players....FACT. We should be grateful imo that he played half a season for us.

Knee jerk reaction US. We should have given him a deadline, so it's just as much the club's fault. Not really too fussed either way as if he doesn't want to come here unless we are a last resort how much effort is he gonna put in? On the other hand he IS a quality player who must have been extremely frustrated by the appalling play around him for the last few games of last season

Best move on and be grateful for his contribution in keeping us up. Anyone who thinks he didn't make a difference before we dragged him down to our level must have watched different games to me

Oops, was meant to put no, I did not realise that the poll question was different to the thread title

No, I dont think we should withdraw his contract, but start looking for a replacement and if we find a suitable replacement, then withdraw the contract offer.

Stupid question, we are an awful team it's only natura; he'd want to play for a better team, let's hope one doesn't come along

I'm not sure what the poll question is

Do you want us to withdraw his contract - yes or no
or
Do you want him back - yes or no

If you answer either you would be contradicting what you would be voting for on the other!

His agent says that he will be discussing Bertin today with Dick and Wendy, so I think we should at least wait for that.

Anyway, Wendy has already said that the offer made to Bertin may not be there if he decides he wants to stay.

We should be looking for alternatives - but if Bertin turns round and says he wants to accept the offer we've made it would be stupid to turn up our noses at him just because he wanted to look at his options.

We shouldn't withdraw the offer, we should sign him if given the chance. Once signed he would have made a commitment to the club and that should be honoured, at the moment he is free to shop around and fair play to him.

I answered the poll Yes to the Question do I still want him, then realised thats not the question.

Anyway, best midfielder weve had for 5-10 years, wed be mad not to take him if he decides hes up for it.

Club should have set a deadline...
Bertin should have responded to the offer in a reasonable timeframe...
Give him one more week, then withdraw offer...
Simple...

I can only assume that of the 15 Yes votes, one is US himself, and the other 14 were misled by the trick question.

Of course we still want him. No question.

Do we actually know when his contract with us expires/d?

If we do then maybe he didnt realise he had to get back to us asap?

It would have been common courtesy to tell us what he was playing at...but if he's weighing up his options..then surely he will make his decision all at once?
