Typical Potter striker, seems like he (finally) got the kilos to back up his 195 cm. Wouldnt be surprised if the interest is real.

There is something vaguely appealing in taking a palace abject failure and turning him into a half decent footballer.

FC Midtjylland to the premier League is a big step up for any player. It's probably safe to assume Palace weren't the best club to help manage the transition. Some players just keep improving even past the day their legs start to go. (cough Murray cough)
So most likely not, but worth scouting.

Came on after about an hour of the 3-1 turning over and was literally laughed off the pitch. Terrible, terrible footballer.

Sorloth is a good striker who has scored for every manager he's played for, except one.

2017/18 Midtjylland 16 in 19 games
2017/18 Palace 4 in 4
2018/19 Palace 0 in 12
2018/19 Gent 19 in 18
2019/20 Trabzonspor 21 in 21

You can see what Roy's coaching does for strikers.

Just look at Christian Benteke's record for Palace in the 2016/17 season, before Roy arrived and coached the goals out of him.

Scoring record looks a lot better than the 1 in 30 strikers we often get linked to. Seems to have done it everywhere else and if accurate in that first few games for that lot up the road.

All good stats... Apart from the fact Sorloth has never scored a league goal for Crystal Palace, and the leagues he has played in are not really comparable to the English premier league, But if Brighton want to put an offer in ??

012–2015 Rosenborg 2 46 (18)
2013–2015 Rosenborg 6 (0)
2015 → Bodø/Glimt (loan) 26 (13)
2016–2017 FC Groningen 38 (5)
2017–2018 FC Midtjylland 19 (10)
2018– Crystal Palace 16 (0)
2019 → Gent (loan) 19 (4)
2019– → Trabzonspor (loan) 19 (16)

I heard a stat on 5Live last night, when discussing Palace, that Sorloth has scored more goals than Palace in total this season :dunce:

Watching his goals, he's definitely a different kind of striker to Maupay and although his reel isn't full of the tidiest of goals, they're very similar to the goals Neal got in the Championship in a lot of ways: Being in the right place.

In terms of his standard, I'm not going to judge him too harshly for not scoring for that shower up the road. They've only really got one outlet and if you're coming on as a sub constantly and not getting any service, it's not a huge surprise he didn't score. Looking at the turkish league, it's not as strong as the Prem obviously but neither is the Championship and Maupay has been very good indeed given the time and support of a decent team and manager.

Eurgh... I don't know why I've even typed this. He's clearly not coming here is he?
