Did anybody see this most inspirational of programmes on bbc3 last night??

BBC iPlayer - Alex: A Life Fast Forward

I can't even describe what an emotional roller coaster it was. It was VERY sad, but it is no exaggeration to say it has given me a renewed perspective on life, I am truely inspired by this guy. I strongly recommend watching it.
Be prepared to shed a tear or two though.

An amazing bit of television.

Basically, a young chap that contracts cancer and realises that he is dying, so he wants to fit as much in a possible, before the final curtain call. His final wish was to marry his sweetheart, which he did.

Just watched it brings a few things into perspective. I liked the first half hour but the last bit hit me a bit too hard.

Hi, yes i saw it too - saddest thing i've watched in a long time. And thought about him all day today whilst at work just because I couldn't get the whole thing out of my mind. In fact I tear up whenever I think about him - was just awful to see how different he was from the start to the end of the prog. And his family and fiancee were amazing. I think everyone should watch this prog to put a few things into perspective.
