Aldershot Town

Directions

Leave the M3 at Junction 4 and take the A331 towards Farnborough/Aldershot. Continue towards Aldershot passing the North Camp turn off. At the next junction (Aldershot South) turn right at the roundabout towards Aldershot Town Centre (A323). Keep straight on this road and after going under a railway bridge, the ground is visible on your right.

There is little parking available at the ground itself. Most fans tend to park in one of the many pay & display car parks, located around the town centre.

Pubs

Club bar at ground. Otherwise 'The Beehive' & 'Crimea' are the closest pubs to the ground.

By Train

Aldershot station is less than a ten minute walk away from the ground. Upon leaving the train station, go down the station approach and turn right into Windsor Way. Continue down Windsor Way passing a Peugeot garage on your right and the Holy Trinity Church on your left. The road bends to the left and leads into Victoria Road. Turn right along Victoria Road and at the bottom of the road you will see floodlights of the Recreation Ground in front of you.

Is Shooters not on the list of pubs to visit.

Seem to remember a coach load of Albion checking it out before the cup game....

Tried to pop in for a pint but the place exploded just as we got to the door. Terrible scenes. Coach driver had a breakdown, funnily enough we were banned from ever using them again.

I think I made about £4.27 during the cup game at Aldershot. The Aldershites really were very generous in their donations they threw at the Albion supporters that day.

And werent the police very helpful as well.

Yes - the OB were top notch. They were completely unfazed by the hail of coinage of the realm that was raining down on them and us.

The other highlight of the day was when that old dear asked Fletching's oldest ASBO if he was singing the Charlie Oatway song for charity. Arhh - well I guess you really had to be there.:p
