Smoking will obviously be banned anyway, and I really don't think it'd stop violance that much at Brighton games.. is there much anyway? I can't wait to go to the amex and have a nice pint maybe too. To take that away would be evil.

Why is it dated & sad? Football is a social event. You go with family & friends to enjoy an afternoons entertainment. Where's the problem with having a pint or two? As long as it's all good natured & enjoyable.

I agree, look at Fulham, they serve booze at the ground and there is always violence there.

I don't agree at all.There will, of course, be no smoking,but please no more of the 'ban this ban that' culture that has crept in to the psyche of Government and various pressure groups.Let us be treated as adults once more in this country and not be told what we can and can't do all the time.

Will the club make money by serving shant at Falmer? Yes, so they won't ban it

They will be serving REAL ALE at Falmer, supporting local breweries in the process.

As an adult I ALONE should get to choose whatever entertainment/refreshment I want of a Saturday afternoon.

Ban alcohol? Why not ban everything? Seats, fans, f*** it, ban football at Falmer, turn it into a carbon-free, experimental dance arena

I think you can get a pint before, at half time and after the game in the West Stand, but can only get one before and after in the North. Which is a shame.

The club will make an absolute fortune from the bars in the concourses so the alcohol is staying.

Nobody is allowed to drink in their seats so it shouldn't cause too many problems

Really? So if they said you couldnt drink at other events such as a gig or rugby or Cricket you wouldn't care?

I'm not talking about getting plasterd and acting like a nob, but as an adult I'd like the choice of a beer or not.

Very true statement, but I would say its a case of not being able to last a few hours its more of a habit and social aspect of it too. I rarely drink mon-thurs occasionally have a few on a fri and sat night but thats it. I like to have a beer at football and enjoy it with friends and the football, I havnt got a problem have I?

Booze and fags seem to be the staple diet of a huge swath of our society but we allow it because we make huge amounts out of it,does this make it right?
A sports club like the albion could take the initiative on this one and promote a healthy lifestyle to the community,i for one would applaude this What about healthy food outlets instead of the burger/pie/chips mush thats on offer

Bearing in mind a key part of the stadium business plan is the revenue generated by the Cardinal's drinking spend, it is paramount that cider at least, is served in the ground.
