Not so much rediscovered, more getting it back 3 years after lending it to a friend. Love - Forever Changes.

Ive been meaning to give it a listen, having worshipped Seldom Seen Kid. Is it full of the same sweeping epics?

I recently listened to The Joshua Tree-U2, was surprised how good the guitars are, a great album.

It hasn't got the same sweeping songs as TSSK, but they are equally as melodic; give a listen on YouTube to Station Approach, Leader Of The Free World and An Imagined Affair for an idea...three different songs but they're in my top 10 favourite songs of theirs.

B52'S - Cosmic Thing. Makes me feel warmer
Beloved - Happiness. Stunning album

Happiness is my favourite record of all time. Really captured the hedonistic days back then and I still play it all the time. Every song is a classic. The three great drug and dance infused albums of that time for me were New Order's Technique, Screamadelica and Happiness.

Having feasted on Mink DeVille, I'm now on a fave from 1976 - Late Night Movies/All Night Brainstorms from the Doctors of Madness. Not really a rediscovery, as it's an album I periodically listen to, but it's good to recall one of the best British rock albums (if not the best) in those grim years before punk

Movement - New Order. Incredible album, really invokes the change the band had to go through after Ian Curtis died

Amnesiac - Radiohead. Thought it was really quite dull when it came out. Recently discovered that, when you're in the right mood, it's endlessly fascinating. Fingers crossed that, next time I listen, I'm not in the wrong mood, else I might change my mind again. Fickle.

I would also say Loveless by My Bloody Valentine, but I'm not sure I've ever left it alone for any great period of time. Also, Ten Times That Same Song by Love Is All - highly recommended for anyone who ever wondered what Shrag would sound like with a saxophone-playing lead singer and more reverb.

A4 Boomtown Rats, The – She's So Modern
A5 Zones (2) – New Life
A6 Only Ones, The – Another Girl, Another Planet
A7 Wreckless Eric – Whole Wide World
A8 Patti Smith Group – Because The Night
B1 Boomtown Rats, The – Kicks
B2 Ramones – Rockaway Beach
B3 Undertones, The – Teenage Kicks

Still not released on CD for some reason.

Also recall that as well as yellow vinyl it came with a t-shirt (long since lost).

Well no, but there'll be epicness of a different type. It took me the longest of their albums to get into, but it's worth it.

My favourite is still Asleep In The Back though.

Bevendean Hillbilly has it about right with Highway to Hell. Beloved is also an excellent call...will be digging that out on the iPod.
