Does anyone know if there is a table of Brighton’s overall league position over their whole history which would include every team?

Seems like a strange question but a mate of mine reckons that overall taking into account all clubs and all league positions and all leagues that Palace are ranked 30th out of all clubs…….

I think there was a table posted on here about a month ago with that exact information in it.

Or maybe I am imagining things...

How the f*** can Chesterfield be above us and Leeds?! And Aldershot are bottom with 18 points. Clearly bollocks.

.

It's not bollock though!

This is Aldershots first season in League Two, they currently have 18 points.....

Chesterfield above us and Leeds, probably because they've played HUNDREDS more games.

It's interesting how, historically, football's been a predominately Northern game, saving London and environs.

Any amateur sociologists have a theory? Are the older teams up north?

Professionalism was instigated in the Northern parts of the country, with the soft southerners carrying on the amateur traditions of sportsmanship and fair play. We caught up eventually though.

The 12 FOUNDER members of the Football League were

Accrington
Aston Villa
Blackburn Rovers
Bolton Wanderers
Burnley
Derby County
Everton
Notts County
Preston North End
Stoke City
West Bromwich Albion
Wolverhampton Wanderers

All dirty northerners (or midlanders)
