Hard for me, because most of these are before my time and I’d be voting on reputation rather than what I’ve seen. For the fact I’ve actually seen him play, and he is ex-SAS alone, I’ve gone with Stantona.

Stant has the air of the bloke on a council estate who everyone knows to give a very very wide berth and probably has a mental dog. Completely creates a sense of fear every time he enters the flat roofed pub

Fozzie smashed his head up and kept playing.
He never, ever backed out of a challenge.
What more could he do to prove his hardness?
Harder than Case imo

This is very exciting. Who is going to be this competitions honey badger? Who will be the most popular in the competition? (ie who will the mods decide won't win?)

Let it go? No chance! :lolol:

Surely Horton's nickname was Nobby
The nicknames seem to be largely from the imagination of someone who almost certainly hasn’t heard of, still less seen, some of the players. “Non-Stop Turner” in particular made me laugh 🤣🤣🤣

Jimmy all day long. The game was different back then and none of this 'oooh ref, he's caught my eyelashes or in Cucu's case his hair!
I was always under the impression that his vision going into tackles was often alcohol impaired
