Brief summary & match report

Fantastic match !
Fantastic day out !
A record crowd of 150+ turned up to watch the match played in perfect conditions on the playing fields of The Kings School in Sydney
Five Palace players had flown in from interstate for the event, 3 from Melbourne & 2 from Brisbane.
And for us, we had 1 guy up from Melbourne plus 2 ex-Albion players.

Palace totally dominated the opening 15 mins and soon took a deserved 1-0 lead.
Time for our 2 ex-Albion players, Paul Reid & Lloyd Owusu to enter the field.
The double substitution proved to be a masterstroke with the Albion taking hold of the match and sweeping to a 3-1 advantage.
Palace pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time to make it 3-2 and 3 more unanswered 2nd half Palace goals saw them race to a 5-3 lead.
Albion grabbed a goal back with 3 mins to go to make 5-4 and in then in the dying embers of the match the ex-Albion duo combined superbly to fire home an equaliser, 5-5 !!!

Game over and it was time for a barbie, beers and fundraising raffle for the REMF.
If the Leeds game later today comes anywhere near close to providing the sheer drama & excitement that this match entailed it will of done very well indeed.

Well done to everyone concerned and for the money raised  even though you sneaked a draw with two ringers :)

Great stuff, was a member of Seagulls Downunder 20 years ago, at the time it only had 34 members. Seems things have really moved on, quite a force down there now it seems
