I spoke to one of the Albion coaches before the game and he said they take the competition very seriously. The club see it as an opportunity for the young lads to play at the Amex. They were there to win last night. And the No 10 Benicio Baker-Boaitey was on the first team bench on Sunday. He looked very lively by the way. Really quick.

It just shows the fine margins in football. There's a hell of a lot of players who were whiskers away from making a real impact in the game. That wasn't an u18 team it was more a weaker u21 side. Of a top half Premier League club who've just turned over Ajax twice. Amazing result.
