Hallelujah - they've picked a K.O. time that doesn't clash with a PL match!

Another hat-trick for Ferguson - or is he booked for the bench tomorrow?

Certainly will be interesting to see. On one hand, he has been in excellent form over the last month, on the other De Zerbi might not have seen a lot of him due to playing with the U21s and with Ireland U21.

My guess is that the deciding factor will be that the U21 team needs him, so he'll play today I think. Bit unfortunate that the U21 squad look pretty weak and thin this season, don't want it to get relegated but also don't want the situation to stop any player from progressing to the first team.

It looked that way from the early results, but I can't see it's really much weaker than last season's team - which was pretty good. We've only lost McGill (to the first team squad - and sometimes Offiah has been on the bench too) and Leonard to Northampton. We only had Tolaj and Richards for half of last season (and Richards hardly played). The rest of last season's team are still there, plus some who have been brought in or moved up from the U18s, so on paper the team really shouldn't be any weaker.

Tonight we might start to learn where the team's level is - is it the first four matches, or the level we were at against Leicester last time out.

Here we go!
Anyone who has played in those conditions will tell you it is beyond unenjoyable.

I played in the driving rain this afternoon and it was horrible, but I don't remember it being quite so bad 40 odd years ago

Has anyone got the Albion team ?

I take it back, the weather is livening up. Back in the day at Waterhall, this is when you would play a high offside line into the wind and hope your goalkeeper could reach the halfway line

I once remember a goalkeeper taking a goal kick that went back over his own bar for a corner :lolol:

Seems to be a lot of red cards in our youngsters games, comes with the territory or are we a feisty bunch who rub teams up the wrong way?

Clean header for Moran and Albion take the lead on 65 minutes.

Lovely second goal from Peupion. Full deserved - dominated after Spurs initial flurry, and the sending off.

Spurs central defenders must have spent their entire childhood watching videos of Dunk'n'Duffy - so many really desperate (but very good) blocks!

With tonight's weather and Albion's 2nd half performance, the floodgates have opened now both figuratively and literally.

MOTM? Ed Turns for me - the new Wales U21 captain played a blinder, dominating midfied (yes, that's how far upfield our CBs were playing!), capped off with a smashing goal.

Looks a real player doesn't he?
