@AZ Gull interesting to see Howell and Simmonds on the bench. Is that their first U21 involvement?

No Chouchane shortly after signing a new contract, that must surely mean an imminent loan?

From watching the end of the half, Lyon seemed to be on top, Peupion providing the most threat. Comedy own goal from Atom and Cahill though.

You could understand how it happens when it's a dodgy surface but they are playing on a snooker table.
The poor lad just failed to execute basic control of the ball at his feet.
It would have been straightforward for Atom to put the pass back to the left, which would have given Cahill an angle for the pass. Instead he has to take a bouncing ball and look for a pass in from of his goal. A big error but was given a harder task than was necessary.

Ref had a good game. Didn't let the frenchies spit their dummies out at the end but also didn't let us take the piss to wind them up either!
Agree she was very good. Let play go on and was not taken in by players rolling about. Does she do EFL games ?

Was in attendance at Lancing tonight.
WOW, what a talent Joe Knight is. Sublime performance. So calm on the ball. Loves a tackle. Can spray a long pass when needed. Good talker and organiser for an 18 year old.
He plays a very similar game to Hinshelwood, another one on the Albion conveyor belt.
And O’Mahoney scoring goals, one chance, one goal. Clinical in front of goal like that other Irish striker we have on our books.
