Today's show with Dick Knight is now available to listen to again.

Here's the link to our website

Albion Roar | Unofficial Brighton Hove Albion Football Club Radio Show

On the home page there is a flash player and you just need to press play.

If you want an MP3 downloadable version to put on your ipods or have on your computer, just click on the MP3 icon on the flash player and save the file.

An interview we carried out with Andy Whing today will be on the archive pages later - I'll post when uploaded.

Cheers

Jonny

Good work by Revurb to get him on their station but would it not have been better for him to come on SCR where the audience would have been bigger?

Or is that why he went on Revurb?

Spoke well on the sadium and issues away from the pitch, should have shown more humality on this season, not the time for jokes.

If you listen only on FM radio, the live audience might well be smaller for Reverb than SCR, but the listen again facility is available to as many people as for SCR, so the potential audience is the same.

Plus. if you're overseas, I'm not sure BBC is available, but I could be wrong on that.

I take your point, but this would have certainly gone under the radar for most people, Non NSC posters and non Revurb listeners.

I hope the show goes from strength to strength and grows as it adds a different dimension to Albion coverage so well done to all involved.

Im dissapointed in the footballing decisions over the past 18 months but feel happy the club in other areas is being run pretty well.

Cheers for that, and I take your point about our lack of marketing for the radio station.

We - the Albion Roar team - actually pay to go on air, so the advertising of the show - and the station generally - is extremely limited. Hopefully we can sort something out on that score soon enough.

Great work by Reverb. We learn so much more when the subject of the interview is allowed to talk, rather than at a fans forum when half the time is wasted with mindless questions.

:clap2: Great job. Enjoyable interview. I haven't been DK's biggest fan over the last season or so but I enjoyed that & thought he came over quite well.

Just listened to it and overall didnt learn anything i think i didnt know already, the great debate about wilkins rolls on and mr knight answered exactly how i thought he would when asked why wilkins was sacked, and frankly wtf has it got to do with me who he hires n fires.

What does come across is his total commitment to brighton and hove albion as it is now and its future, cant think of many people who make a statement going back 10 years ago and true to their word are still working toward that goal, whatever i think about him as a chairman and his financial imput into the club pales into insignificance when i think about what could and probably would have happened if he had not taken over.

You should get Seagulls World to sponsor it...

Or get everyone to chip in, I would.

Nice interview, love Uncle Dick's media nouse. He's got that inherent defensive stance. If he was a team he'd be Liverpool in Europe. Always sounds like you could push him too far, but no-one ever has.

Although he is not paid a penny and has put in £3million himself I suspect he is lining his own pocket somehow. Someone on the Argus comment site has said more than once that he wants the football team to die and then he is going to sell out Falmer to a theme park and make a fortune.

If it is in the Argus it MUST be true.

yeh me too
very clear and concise and has given me a bit more heart well done to those who interviewed him for giving him time to explain rather than firing off more questions before he had finished answering others

Don't let me stop you! We were going to have a fundraising evening of bands and DJs, but never ultimately nailed the time and venue - but we may still yet. Watch this space.

As regards Seagulls World sponsoring it, as I said on the other thread, we wouldn't be keen on going down that route, as we would want to retain our independence from the club.

No-one would have interviewed him like that on SCR. They wouldn't of given him time to answer and would have felt the need to try and be more "controversial".

Just listened to this as I'm using up some leave (which my employers will take off me if I don't take them before the end of March !).

I think he came across very well. Lets face it he is never going to satisfy some of the Mr (and Mrs) Angrys on this site who call anyone a 'bobblehat' who might just happen to agree with something he says.

Quite frankly, without burning the poor sod out, I think he ought to do more of this sort of thing. It'll never stop the binfesting on here (what would?) but it might help the image of the club and give a more rational picture of the overall picture of what is going on than we get sometimes.

I DO think we take the openness of the club for granted at times. I doubt we'd get this level of info at most of the other clubs in the League. People will always want more; but......

He did mention he would be happy to do a second Fans' Forum each year. One in August, and one another time of the year. I would suggest, say, early February, just after the transfer window has closed.
