Apologies if 'fixtures' but its 2025 and we never tire of the endless debate around this subject.

4 Albion icons, set in stone, who are your 4?

I go; (for a multitude of reasons)

Alan Mullery (All time greatest manager)
Mark Lawrenson (The greatest player, to date, to pull on an Albion shirt)
Dick Knight (From the boardroom)
Lewis Dunk (modern day great)

The Fatherland
Tony Bloom - obvious
Ale Mac Alister - a world cup winner in an Albion shirt. I have no doubt he will become Albions most decorated player.
Gross - Legend. Period.

Those three came to immediate mind. I'll think about the last one.

Just far enough away from LDC
Given mount Rushmore has Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt to signify the 1st president, the one who saw expansion and new horizons, the one that healed the divide and the one who oversaw bringing it into the modern era that would mean

Jackson/Webb, Bamber/mullery, Knight, Bloom

Tough one this. Must be a place for Micky Adams and Steve Gritt. But who do you leave out?

Mark McCammon, Les Berry, Jamie Moralee and Ashley Neal.

Every time we think we've had a shit day because we've drawn with somebody like Brentford, we can turn our faces to the mountain, and suddenly feel a lot less stressed about it all.

In my defence, I was left unsupervised.

Age of the poster will determine the choices made clearly ;) :rave:

I'm 50, but never saw Peter Ward play.................so I'd rather have Bobby on there than Ward, as I saw all his goals home and away practically and he made watching BHA fun again
Well I'm not old enough to remember Charles Webb! :lolol:

I'm 67 so obviously I do remember Ward etc, but actually I probably wouldn't include any of that era. Mullery maybe for being the first to get us into the top division, and Mike Bamber perhaps for having the vision to get us there, but none of the players - good though they were at the time.

For me they have to be former players even if they went on to greater legend as manager of the club

Charlie Webb, Tommy Cook, Peter Ward, Bobby Zamora.

Those who fancy recent players, I would caveat that most of our current squad are head and shoulders above Ward and Zamora in terms of quality, but none have (yet) had the same impact.

These stats will never be surpassed:

That was the song that was sung in the NS in the mid 70s - 1-11 all Peter Ward in our team etc . . . Walking in a Wardie wonderland. Or am I mixing songs.

I guess you could rename this as
In Whose Name Would You Dedicate The Four Stands.
Anyway, good question. Assuming we are looking back in history there would be no 'current' owners or players. TBMBE & PBOBE would have the pleasure of the unveiling.
Peter Ward
Mike Bamber

No, changed my mind. There are too many 'heros' to select just four.
