Think it would be fantastic to have Currie back.

However to me it stinks of one of those Danny Dichio, Neil Shipperly stories the club likes to reel out just before the window closes.

Let just wait and see if Currie signs or ends up going to Havant & Waterlooville. Then next week we have Dick Knight on the phone in, saying he just didn't want to play at Withdean.

I do hope i'm proved wrong however.

Doubt a Champ side (a decent one anyway) will go for him at his age now. Him knowing the club and players is deffo an advantage too so, yeah - looks good.

I would love to have Currie back. We have an over reliance on Dean Cox when it comes to creativity and Currie has that in abundance. If we had Cox and Currie on the flanks it would enable Fraser to move back into his preferred role in the middle, probably as back up initially. His crosses would be great for Revell, Elder and Gatting. He is also an old head, something that would do the squad some good. I would love this to go ahead.

would love to see Currie back - not sure if I would pay a fee for him though.

the areas we need strengthening are probably:

Striker (maybe 2) - Elder needs a pre season to get really fit. gatting holds the ball up well, and does have an eye for goal. needs to work a bit on pace and Robinson seems to be suffering a major confidence loss and his shooting is struggling

Midfielder - other teams have sussed out that you close down cox and you shut our creativity up that could be where Currie would fit in.

Defence - we need a full back maybe 2 (if O'whatever doesn't stay)

We may of course need another keeper if hendo goes.
