Next election in Lewes are in May 2007.

Can't we do anything to get them out or make the locals stand up?

By 2007, the residents will have been taxed to death, shouldn't think we will have to even encourage them!

...by 2007 the residents will be offering to dig the foundations for the new ground and put up the steel-work for the stands.

Unfortunately the residents are far more worried about the incinerator than the stadium so I can't see the Lib Dems being voted out.
I really do think Lewes are trying to delay and delay so that the club goes bust.

Now that I can get angry about not some rubbish about whether players like being told what to do or whether we get new signings or not.
I just want a club that still exists.

Btw I followed a black VW through Rottingdean and Saltdean this evening on the coast road, with a 'Wanted' De Vecchi poster in their rear windscreen.
They turned off in Peacehaven.
Good work.

brighton, actually
hopefully the legal bods at BHA will get some kind of injunction against LDC / any other spoilers..

anyhow, i thought ALL the arguments were covered in the initial enquiry- why didntthe LDC question the validity of the process at the time..?

if, or WHEN we get falmer, i wonder how many fans will NOT be going to the (Swan?) pub, before a match.. if it hasnt been sold on by then...

With the Murdoch Press ripping into their happy-clappy political party, can't we increase the pressure on DeVecchi(who clearly can't take it) and her mates by putting a proper campaign together. Time for us fans to go on the offensive. The club and official bodies can't do anything. We can remind DeVecchi, Baker and Commin that it is perhaps not really in their interests to kill off the Albion.

Lewes doesn't have enough money to go to the High Court, let alone the House of Lords or Europe. But that small fact doesn't appear to stop them.

Nah, according to LDC, taking it to the House of Lords only costs £50. Falmer Parish Council have already earmarked 25p to help.

Are Martin Perry's comments a coded message to get the supporters to put real pressure on DeVecchi and gang?
They've got away with beating up an Argus photographer, getting the police on to one of the most respected people on this board and every day one of them smarmily pontificates about our legal system at BHASVIC. And all this at a time when their crackpot party are being humiliated nationally. No wonder they think they can win.
We must think of a way to get back at them.

I agree with Yorkie. Falmer is not the big issue for voters in Lewes DC. The incinerator at Newhaven is the biggie and this Lewes DC are opposed to much to the delight of Lewes DC voters.

Most folk I talk to in Seaford could not care less about The Albion or Falmer.

Worrying too that Martin Perry is now saying that the JR will delay the Stadium unless its heard sooner rather than later.

Not good news tonight.

Have to say, I rather like the notion of Martin putting out coded messages to activate the ground troops, in an Osama bin Laden stylee... So, Seagulls World becomes Martin's very own Al Jazeera?

Course, sending crazed NSC suicide bombers into The Swan might just be taking things a bit far...

Worthing
If LDC lose the JR and are hit with a huge legal bill they may see going to the House of Lords and then the European Court as the best way to get their costs reduced. Failing that, it should also take the final verdict beyond the May 2007 election date.

I've just heard on the news that a tape of el turi has been released where he says that he will inflict pain and damage upon all the infidels - the mother of all attacks is coming - it is our duty to back them and to charge. he also says he will score a hat trick in the last 3 games of the season to keep us up.

The CIA are studying the tape. They believe it to be fake - apparently El Turi was mortally wounded by enemy fire and a nasty chaffing from his tracksuit.
