Victor Bhanerjee's notebook
Once we get the yes to Falmer, interest and investment in the Albion will increase in the build up to the new infrastructure being available, Currie knows from his time with us that Brighton are a big club in disguise and I would not be surprised if he chose to join us in what promises to be one of the most exciting periods in our history.

You mean more exciting than that home game v Scunthorpe a few seasons back. You remember the one where the only time they adventured into our half was to troop back to the changing rooms.

Yes trib, I was thinking of more exciting than that.

Although spectacles such as that do stick in the mind.

Didn't Millwall receive a 5 million quid injection of cash recently?

No wonder Darren Currie has probably received a better offer from them!

If only we could all be like you three, then I am sure the club and its fans would be all the better. In fact, I think that would be the difference between signing and not signing players like this. Perfect fans, I salute you:bowdown:

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm? ;)

Don't cross the inner circle, you will regret it... :)

I think they did get a new chairman with loads of money... not sure how much he has put in... if they had loads, then they would surely be looking at someone else? Much as I rate Currie, he has shortcomings...

Quite where the idea that Millwall would be so much better than the Albion to play for has come from I've no idea. Still reckon it's a pretty unattractive club that as far as I'm aware no-one likes even after the clean up?? We are about to enter halcyon days with the approval and building of Falmer, yeah it might be while away but as long as the money wasn't TOO different I know where I'd rather play

but still an element of sarcasm does put up a confrontational perspective. Is their a view held that some fans have read the good book of being a fan in the right and positive way?

I just think it is not always right to accept the club's actions and pronouncements without question as the so-called 'uberfans' on here seem to do very consistently...

If nobody had stood up to Archer et al (and I'm not comparing the current regime at our beloved club in ANY way to that one), then where would we be? Out of existence, methinks...

DK and co DO make mistakes, the latest for me being the rather ignorant pronouncement by DK (especially, since he is a marketing man) that not a penny of the CKR bonus would go towards the playing side... as soon as something like that is said, the uberfans seem to fight a rearguard action defending the club, whilst the majority of fans (rightly in my view) raise questions on the clubs latest gaff...

A bit of harmless sarcasm in that context seems fair enough to me...

How the f*** does being 'confused' by booing Currie make anyone an uberfan?

Just the normal holier than you attitude of the inner circle... fans of all clubs boo former players... why make an issue of something that has zero impact on Currie's decision?

IMHO, of course...
