About the best winger in the Championship. Adomah doesn't seem to get injured either. I like the look of him better than Downing. Wildschut looked a possible player to sign as well as he hardly made the Boro first team last season.

Still think that Buckley (under proper Management) has more potential. I wouldn't swop Adomah for Lualua either.

Is this a troll account. Or can you actually not let Buckley go?

Stress is on the right management and right tactics.

Unlike the Hyypia disaster of wing-backs we seem to be looking for a winger/striker more than a winger-midfielder and Adomah fits the bill. at least for 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.

In 4-4-2 standard variant like we seem to have played in the last three games, I think Adomah seems adaptable to fit in. He seems superfluous now we have got Jamie Murphy though. I think on balance I would go for a younger player. Noone would fit 4-4-2 better. 4-4-2 is not producing many goals and none from wing-play either crosses or cutting into shoot from wide positions* (if that ever produces many goals anyway?). (* as distinct from a winger occupying and running into channels closer to the goal like Suarez and Redmond and recently Lualua).

PS: My favourite Zamora goal was against Wimbledon when Lee Steele hared down the left wing and put in an outswinging* cross plum on the head of an onrushing Bobby Z. Wimbledon were pushing up so it was just a question of breaking the offside trap. (*Keeper was left in no man's land as the cross was swinging away from him.) I am not sure how good Adomah is at crosses ??? (Buckley is good and has the stamina. Conway was OK but he crossed from deeper which was not so dangerous but should have got Blackburn an equaliser!)

A dozen or so wingers better than Adomah and crossing/assisting goals last season in the Championship:

http://www.whoscored.com/Regions/25...ayerStatistics/England-Championship-2014-2015

Pacey ones: Redmond

Not quite so pacey: Ritchie (Bournemouth), Pringle (Rotherham now Fulham), Cotterill (Birmingham), Conway (Blackburn to Gestede mostly)

Midfielders going wide and crossing, quite a lot, notably Leadbitter and Butterfield. Also Alan Judge (Brentford).

Adomah's actual record is not that much better than Holla although he played more games. Ben Marshall's record is better, despite him shooting from long distance to no affect lots of times.

Hindsight says Conway might have been the best bet, although he never really seemed to have enough pace for me. I thought Conway caused more trouble for Bruno than Antonio.

Didn't Blackburn offer him wages that we could never compete with? Also, wasn't he up against Bong for the majority of the game on Saturday?

I was thinking about two heart dropping moments near the end. Mostly the Conway cross for Duffy to miss a big chance. Conway played mainly on the left for them. Lawrence on the right.

Bruno intercepted the ball before it got to Conway all but once. Formidable full back. Thta is the best way to stop a winger. Stop him getting the ball in the first place.

89:13 Attempt missed. Shane Duffy (Blackburn Rovers) header from the centre of the box is close, but misses the top left corner. Assisted by Craig Conway with a cross.

Conway (right) corner also found the head of Duffy. I wasn't all that impressed with our central defence pairing.

Conway was definitely on the right a lot during the first half. I was seating in the east and he had a bit of banter with the crowd. Never really gave Bong many problems.
