Now Root has the job I'm expecting England to take a few more risks, be more positive.

Having Ben Stokes as his No. 2 reinforces this idea, and it is interesting Stokes got the gig over Stuart Broad and county colleague Johnny Bairstow.

It is unusual to have all of the senior players like Cook, Broad and Anderson to be led by the junior players. You'd expect the younger players to make mistakes along the way and you wonder how the senior players will react to that.
