???

Forgive me if I’ve missed something, but it looks as though you’ve confirmed what I was saying.

Were it complete incompetence surely No goals would have been scored ?
Hence my a little harsh comment
Were we not creating chances I might be a little more worried
Work in progress Albeit a frustrating one at the moment

I’m possibly being a touch pedantic, I agree our build up can be attractive and we create more than enough chances, it’s the actual putting the ball in the net where we go to pot. We’ve dominated so many games but our inability to finish has let us down.

Agreed
Today would be a good day to find the clinical edge ,however flukey

Just shows it’s harder to turn draws into wins without a natural scorer like Glenn Murray. And we’re playing much more watchable football, which I regard as progress in itself.

One potentially positive thing this season is that the transfer window opens four matches earlier. It's the same for everyone, but if we have Moder and Tau already lined up, we should have a small advantage.

I haven't tried to dig out the stats to back this up but it felt like there were more goals per game than normal in the first quarter of this season, maybe because of the curtailed summer break / pre-season or the players readjusting to the absence of crowds. Certainly we seemed to go several weeks before the first 0-0 draw.

If that's the case then the fact that our defence has let in more goals than in previous seasons may not reflect badly on them, because "everyone's" defenders were doing the same. But it wouldn't be a good stat for our strikers if they've only managed to equal our usual tally when the all-you-can-score goal buffet has been open.
