Rather than taliban I should have said Al quaeda and similar extremist Islamist groups - but it's fair to tar them all with the same brush. Libya & Egypt is now in their hands, and Syria looks inevitable too. We are supporting these groups in other places, so why we are fighting them in Afghanistan is beyond rationality to me.

But the Muslim Brotherhood are not AQ or a similar extremist group, they are Muslim but not extremists

We are bloody stupid in this country. Not us our governments are. We also have a small minority of extreme Islamists in this country. They need to be arrested. Better still if they are not even from the UK they should be put on a plane and sent back home. We don't need this rubbish going over here.

Be worried if Romney wins the election.

Of course not, you do realise that my username and avatar are references to Turkish culture. I am against Sharia law. Where would you rather go on holiday, Turkey & Egypt or Saudi Arabia & Iran. That is the difference that Sharia law aka Islamic extremism does to nation - It takes away freedom, equality and prosperity. Persia used to be one of the worlds top tourist resorts not long before the Islamic evolution and it became the sh*thole that we can now call Iran.

But all Muslims support Sharia law

He said Muslims who support Sharia Law

No he didn't. He said first enforced sharia as an ideology, then he said devout muslims who want enforced sharia.

Do you know what a sufi oe salafi is? Or the difference?

So you are both saying that although Sharia Law is laid down in the Koran and the teachings of Muhammad and that all Muslims are taught it's only the ones who enforce it that are wrong?

I'm sorry but anyone who wants Sharia law enforced is an extremist - it's an extremist ideology. Al quaeda is a global movement, it has no leader or recruitment process. It is essentially what becomes of devout Muslims when they use organised violence to fight Westernism or enforce Sharia.

Your right and this very thing with Sharia is going on this country. It's wrong and it has no place in the UK. If these people want Sharia law then I suggest they move to a country where it is the law. It's a shame because these people are giving all decent muslims a bad name.

You dont understand. If you beleive in Sharia, or BDSM for that matter then good luck to you. But forcing it on others is wrong. Its illiberal and non-consensual. The "Enforced" was the key point.

Personally I'm happy to condemn medievil religous laws any time. But like most things its about enturpretation and application.

Sharia law, or the haddith I beleive says no poison must pass the lips. So thats smoking and toothpaste as well as alcohol then.

How can ya say the Muslim Brotherhood are not extremists they where the ones calling for the protest this weekend at government buildings

No they didn't, where did you hear that

Mr Mursi may have been slow to respond, but he clearly did get the message. On Friday there was a letter to the New York Times from a key figure in the Muslim Brotherhood, Khairet el-Shater, making it clear that Egypt did not hold the US government or people responsible for the anti-Islamic film.

So would you class the now democratically chosen leaders of several countries the Muslim Brotherhood as an extremist group as the previous poster did?
