Advice on good country pubs with food please.

There's a place just south of Small Dole called 'Golding's Barn' which is excellent for breakfasts, not overly expensive, and in a brilliant setting overlooking the Adur valley farmlands across to Coombs Woods. They do other mealtimes as well, but I have to try them....yet.

Highly recommended though

The Dolphin in H.Heath is rather decent.
!

Mass produced bought in rubbish but then it is all down to preference.

All the pubs under the Vintage Country Inns banner have the same stuff probably bought from 6336. Not the sort of food to celebrate or impress anybody but ok for a standard lunch.

Proper home made on the premises food is the best pub grub ever, It's just finding places that do that type of food!

It's a nice little pub and I spent many a happy night there when my brother was the landlord but it's very limited in what it can do due to it's size, I just dont like the way it's been done up now because the character is being lost.
