Evening.

I am going to New York for tens days in November and want to catch a few sporting matches if possible.

Any tips on where to buy tickets and how easy they are to come buy?

When I went I bought the tickets straight from the teams website. Because I got them well ahead of time they were sent to the UK, if you get them nearer the time you can get them sent to your hotel. Otherwise use ticketmaster I thibk they sell tickets for certain games.

I went to see the New York Rangers in March, just went to Madison Square Gardens on the morning of the game and picked up a couple of tickets. Lot easier than I ever thought it would be.

Ditto but 20 odd tears previously to Bills V the Bucs, worked a treat

Got New York Rangers tickets really easily on both my visits to NYC. Think American Football tickets will be harder to come by

I bought Yankees tickets from one of their outlets in the city. Was a few years ago and they had already qualified for final stages of World Series so locals were saving money for next round or whatever they have, so wasn't that busy.
Rangers shouldn't be too hard to get if there's a game on, just go to MSG and buy them. It was close season during one visit but I did see a pre-season.

This year I went to a Knicks game, as that was all that was on during my stay and didn’t fancy another hockey game. Again just walked into MSG and got ticket easy enough, got $95 seat. That said it was shite, not really a fan of NBA but though I’d try it. It’s bad enough when people turn up at Withers at 3.05 but it was nearly empty to start with then everyone turns up for the last period!

Next day was the opening game for New York Bulls in their new ground but was sold out. Think the MLS season will be finishes end of Oct.

Def want to catch MLS or AFL game next time or boxing at MSG.

I've used Ticketmaster in the US to get tickets for NFL games without any problems.
