Advice Needed Please!

I now live in Sweden, although I am Brighton born and bred etc.

How can I listen to live commentary of the albion in Sweden via the internet? Is SCR available via the net?

Is is worth subscribing to Seagull World? Does anybody living abroad have experience of using it to listen to the Albion?

Any help gratefully recieved!!

Incidentally, my Swedish girlfriend's friend's husband (Swedish also) is a big Stoke City fan. That was fun last season!

As I am a new poster I believe it is necessary to let you know the latest transfer rumour - I think that's the form isn't it? This hour it is: Brighton to become Chelsea feeder club and benefit from huge amount of player loans, russian brides etc.

Hope that was useful.

Thanks again in advance for any help on the listening advice!!

 (thought this was the closest they had to a NSC virgin)

May I be the first to reply "Bloody newby, doubtless an unfounded rumour, ignore it" :nono:

thank you for warm welcome. I am indeed a he rather than a she.

It doesn't look like SCR broadcast via the web, so it looks like I will either have to log into the chat room or splash out £40 on Seagulls World, mind you, that's almost 700 Krona!! That's a lot of Swedish butter!!

There are a few Scandinavian Seagulls fans who use their own msg board www.scandinavianseagulls.com

The guy I know lives in Marsta near Stockholm pays for Seagulls World to get the commentary.

Very true Dropkick Turnip. Alcohol is really quite amazingly expensive here, and if you decide on a Sunday night that you would like to buy a bottle of wine or a couple of cold beers you can't!!

You can only buy alcohol from the state-owned Systembolagets, and they are open, usually from 10am till 6pm monday to friday, saturday mornings and not at all on sundays! You really have to plan ahead over here.

Oh, supermarkets and McDonalds etc. do sell beer and cider at other times, but nothing higher than 3.5% and normally just 2.25% or something similar. I don't think that really counts does it?

I hope to get into the chat room tonight to follow the match, but I think my girlfriend has planned for us to take advantage of the annual Goteborg Kalasset (gothenburg party / festiva) tonight. I think we are meant to go and see some experimental dance troupe (never good words to see together in a sentence) perform an Ingmer Bergman film in the style of jolly trolls or something equally frightening.

Mind you, we are an hour ahead so all being well I should catch the end.

Thank you for that Yorkie. I just checked the site and it looks quite interesting. Unfortunately I cannot yet speak much Swedish. I am taking lessons but, unfortunately, I am really quite stupid and therefore have a feeling it may take a while before I can participate fully with the other scandinavian seagulls.

Still, it gives me something to aim for, doesn't it?

SCR do broadcast over the net but only via seagulls world.

If you log into one of the chatrooms
NSC, Always Skint or Rivals someone will have the local radio on the radio itself and will begin a mexican wave of Yesssssssssssssssssssssss or nooooooooooooo or Shit! It will go around the chat room as we score or conceede etc depending on who gets the good/bad news at what time. Sometime people in Japan get the news before I do in Birmingham etc.

Please send my regards to the moose in the park in Gothenburg!

Went there for a wedding a couple of years back (Swedish weddings are much more fun than English ones) - left the reception in the early hours of Saturday morning and made it back to Withdean for the match that afternoon!
