Adebayor

I am not saying that the Arsenal Fans involved should not be punished. Just don't understand the views of some people on this board that think it is 'funny'.

The way that he sprinted all the way up the pitch I believe he had pre planned to celebrate in front of the fans.

If the shoe was on the other foot and it was an ex player of ours celebrating in front of our fans like that then I don't suppose the majority on here would see the funny side.

If.

But it isn't that way, I enjoy a good laugh.
IF we were beaten 7-1 yesterday and palace had won, I wouldn't be laughing - but something else, something much funnier transpired, and 'I all laugh at palace'.
IF we had lost the war to Germany, the boot would be on the other foot, IF we had lost 5-1 to their football team a few years ago, IF they had beaten us in 1966, etc etc.

You gotta get your fun when you find it, and suppressing a jolly good guffaw is bad for you.

van Persie got clobbered by an ex-team-mate, and I don't feel all that sad.
Palace got clobbered by a team that were the whipping boys of the division.

No player no matter what you think of them "deserve studding good and proper,"
I could never enjoy seeing harm come to another human being. Could you ?

If you have this mentality should you really be a steward? Especially if you felt in the course of your duty, a "customer" deserved something.

Personal dealings have given me reason to want to 'stud' a couple of people in this world history.
What about that Soham murdering-nonce, you wouldn't personally want to dig your heels into his mug??
You telling me you have never had an enemy, no-one ever did you wrong?

I didn't ask Adebayor to kick van Persie, but he did it for SOME reason.

You could never enjoy harm coming to another human being? - better that you weren't around in 1945 to hear about poor old A Hitler getting his. If you came across bin Laden in a cave and you had the only chance to do the bugger or get done yourself.... "cheerio PS".

Do give me a break. :bla:

Brighton/ Palace losing/ winning is slightly different to a player kicking someone in the head and then trying to cause a riot.

However if you feel you want to get your kicks from stuff like that then thats up to you.

What?! We are talking about a game of football not world war 2 or 911.

Oh I'm not saying it was right, or good for football, or comparable to our results.
I'm saying that it was Adebayor's affair, when he striped van Poncey better than Adam Ant's make-up assistant, and seeing that go down wasn't very upsetting for me.

palace losing was wonderful. I look forward to us doing the humiliating of them - but for now Scunny did nicely.

Comparing a mildly annoying footballer to a child killer. Interesting.

Arsenal fans gave him HUGE grief efore and after he left. Massive crime if he gives some back. Bothered? Well done Adebayor.

my thoughts too ......now if he had done that at the Arse then it would have been provocative but at his home ground and the scraping was naughty but if van pursestrings had made good contact it would have ended up with a broken something.

football is a mans game get over it.

Naughty ?.

Let's see now, Van Persie goes in two footed on Adebayor who then retaliates. Van Persie in true Arse style then whines like a little bitch in an effort to disguise a) he kicked it off b) Man City tonked his team.

You're a Spurs fan. Your opinion doesn't count.

I thought the funniest thing about the match was Bentdner DESPERATELY trying to hack Adebayor down! I counted atleast 3 times he had a go, but failed miserably. What a truly pathetic player. Adebayor, on the other hand, clearly showed what he thinks about Van Persie! Have some of that. I echo Edna's sentiments, very cheeky!

His celebration was fantastic in my opinion, the Arsenal fans were absolute bastards to him and then they were singing the Spurs song, "Adebayor, Adebayor, your father breeds Elephants and your mum is a whore". It was inevitable he'd score, and even more inevitable that he would mock the Arsenal fans! Great to see. Shame about the steward getting hurt, obviously that's the argument against his actions. But, personally, I think if the fans want to give him stick, they're going to have to put up with that sort of thing. I mean come on, we've all done it haven't we? We've all been there, you're playing an opponent you've fallen out with and you score, so you mock them. Where's the problem?

When Scott McGleish scored against us for Orient, as was to be expected, after the reception he got, he's every right to rub it in. If I ever get to play professionally and score at Sellhurst, then I shall run the length of the pitch to wind up the Palace fans! It's football.

Adebayor went up in my estimation yesterday. Watching him run the length of the pitch to wind up those sad gooners was priceless :lolol:

The incident with Van Persie was unfortunate, but someone needs to tell Van Persie that if you're going to try and foul a player, don't put your head where his foot is about to go :dunce:

Only just seen the highlights.

Celebration was brilliant. Why not aye?

The "stamp". Always going to look worse in slow motion. Did he intend to stamp on RvP's face? Probably not. Did he purposely leave his foot in? Probably.
