I haven't seem either incident but I totally understand Adebayor running the length of the pitch to take a bit revenge on fans who were giving him grief even whilst he was still at Arsenal. I have the feeling we might see a similar exercise from Glenn Murray once he's at his new club. (he might of course injure himself running full tilt over that distance :lolol:)

He'll rightly be in big Barney Rubble for the RVP slice and unfortunately for the 'goal run' as well. If I was in that position I would have done it, as would many - including those who are getting on their high horses about it - Uncle you'd be the first one tearing off down that pitch towards the Arsenal fans, trust me.

Maybe but watching Rooney after he scored the 3rd at Spurs had the momentum to carry on to the Spurs fans and he changed direction in mid run to celebrate to the Man Utd fans. Rooney has had as much stick as anyone but has learned to control it. The history with Adebayor and Arsenal may be more intense but even during the 100 yard run there must have been something triggered in his small Brain to think " this is not such a good idea ".

Do you not remember that blond Orient twat who scored a hatrick against us in a cup game a few years ago running the length of the stand we were in with his hand cupped over his ear? f***ing annoying but you can surely see the funny side and accept it as part of the game?? Anyone who wants to go on the pitch and hit someone doing that really needs to lighten up. Goal celebrations are great and the more extreme the better imo.

No one comes out of this with any credit. Adebayor was astonishing one minute (that dribble to set up SWP) and a git of the highest order the next (stamp). The Arsenal fans will have been giving Adebayor stick throughout no doubt so understandable that he wanted to make a point - but he over did it. No excuse for the Arsenal fans to throw things however. It's panto not real life.

Personally I thought the run to the Arse fans was funny but was always going to cause grief. the stamp was inexcusable. Fans throwing things equally inexcusable.

Considering Henry did it all the time in front of Spurs fans im not sure Arsenal can complain to much....

Totally different situation:

1) Henry never used to play for spurs.

2) Henry never sprinted the entire length of the pitch to go down on his knees right in front of the visiting fans.

IMO Adebayor's actions were a pre meditated attempt to incite crowd trouble and should be treated as such by the FA.

Don't fall off this horse (like you fall with so many others, snigger :lolol: ) US.
van Persie is an exceptional twat, and probably a bit butch as well.
It's hard to say he didn't have a shoeing coming his way, and Adebeyor would know that better than us.
Let's just assume that RvP did deserve studding good and proper, and just enjoy the moment.

Don't the Arsenal crowd have ANY part in this? Surely their behavior is dispicable enough to deserve some parallel punishment meted out - if Adebeyor is to be punished then so should they be.

Kicking RVp in the face was out of order but his celebration was class, Arsenal fans deserved it.
