He is only famous because of that footballing mad youtuber anyway.

He's an AVERAGE L1/L2 striker, who'll get you a goal every 3 games or so, not a waste of a shirt, but not far off it.

I must've imagined him scoring 16 goals and leading Northampton's promotion push last season then.

Don't think he is good enough to be a regular starter in L1 mind you, but he's a decent option to have. On a free, low wages and he is a cult hero, it's good PR for the club as well.

My lasting memory of Akinfenwa was when we played Northampton 4-5 years ago - Murray literally danced past a few players in the last minute to put us 2-1 up, a beautiful goal - From kickoff they get a corner and Akinfenwa bullets a header in to equalise... Gutted doesn't cover it...
