Adams new 'settled' midfield

Well that went well didn't it?

It's all over the place! Only two of the midfield performed at all yesterday. The two good midfielders were Thomson and Thornton. Anyinsah, and especially Johnson were toilet.

What worries me most is that this is obviously the midfield four that Adams wants to use week-in/week-out. He even said as much on SCR yesterday. Where were the crosses yesterday? We have a striker who is CLASS in the air, yet we are incapable of providing him with a decent cross once in a while. Cox managed it time and time again last season, so what's going wrong this term?

Another thing with this new fangled 'settled' midfield...THREE of them are on loan :shootself

So not so 'settled' for long then?

On the plus side though .... it did suggest that we have finally seen the last of Virgo in midfield, whioch should also mean that with Virgo at CB, we may have seen the last of Hawkins for a while.

When Johnson first came here he looked good now after a few weeks coaching by our world class coaches he has become as mediocre and disinterested as the rest of them.

:lolol:

Yeah, he's settled nicely now.

Johnson has a good shot, nothing else.
Anyinsah is turd.
Thomson was ok yesterday, but has generally been awful since he joined.
Thornton is BRILLIANT.

To my surprise, nay shock, Thomson actually put himself about on 3 or 4 occasions and got stuck in - about fvcking time too coz as someone who's captained an SPL team, albeit Falkirk, he has on the whole been very disappointing.

Adams does not appear to have a clue what his best midfield/side is so how should the players be any wiser?

I pray that the season turns around but with a bigger squad than DW the current Manager recruited 4 " Championship"players- only one seems a certain starter-, gave contracts to 2 loyal servants well past their best and stuffs the side with loan signings of variable quality

What a shambles- all of the boards making!

Quite how you can have a settled midfield that involves 3 loan players is anyone's guess, come Xmas most if not all of them will be gone. Where does it leave Livermore or Cox who come in for a game or two do reasonably well but then are left out
