Just got back from visit to new stadium. Amazing site to behold. Two of the BHA suits strolling around (who I didn't recognise) were talking about Adam Barrett as they walked by. I'm certain that was name they mentioned. googled him on my return and I guess it must be the guy from Southend? Might not mean anything but thought you would like to know none-the-less!

..If only because you got the club wrong. Southend, not Swindon!

Not too sure on this one if it were to happen. Heck loads of experience again, and a surprise goal-scoring talent, but as Sully says, not sure he'd be what Gus is after.

He is a good defender.I would be delighted if we got him.

He's not all that slow. Wouldn't say he's quick but he's not that bad. Butters did okay without having loads of pace! Would be a leader at the back. It's a reasonable suggestion.

May be past his best now but a player I've admired for some time. Was the rock that Southend was built on andthat's why they always seemed to beat us with his strength and leadership and always weighed in with some important goals.

We have missed a leader at the back, somebody to command and teach the talented players we have coming through.

I'd not be unhappy if we took him on, should he fit the Gus Plan and even the most FLAIR team needs a hard man.

Im a bit confused now......WHY would 'the bloke who showed us round Falmer', be a Southend supporter ? Surely he would be part of the Albion ??

No. Outside marketing people are selling Falmer to us. They move from ground to ground. The guy that did my presentation has worked on Wembley and Swansea pre-opening. In fact I think he was a Southend supporter. Richard?
