If that's when time was up then he's correct. Allowing home sides to take corners and waiting to see if they get a equaliser/winner before blowing up when time was already up is dishonest. There's bound to be an incident like this sooner or later........ What you think he saw the ball go in the net before he blew or should he have allowed them one more shot ?
How many times is a last second goal scored and then the opposition kick off for the ref to blow his whistle............... Last kick of the match ? Yeah what a coincidence.

Nothing to do with the FA, they couldn't introduce those changes without ratification from above...

What happened to waiting for a goal kick just blow as the ball sails over the halfway line or when the ball is near the centre circle,played to the whistle,but harsh.

This would surely on,y be right if the number of seconds was an absolute amount, which is clearly not the case, as not only ks the amount of injury time given only a rough amount ('a minimum of...') but there are likely to have been small delays in those injury time minutes, so trying to time it to the nearest second is pointless.

I see what your saying but if he decides to blow in ten seconds let's say then what's he to do ? Add another couple of seconds if it's still in the box ? Then the ball stays in a dangerous position for the defending team for a bit more.....add a few more seconds. Refs always wait to things are safe but that doesn't make it right.
