probably already been on here but screw you 9-5 office weasels!

Going purely on games this season + form I say Lennon is an easy replaement for SWP who has'nt had games at all.

So, if Sven suddenly looked beyond the Pretty boys, would YOU say to him Take Lennon or SWP?

Feel sorry for SWP though.
Why? He knew when he signed for Chelski that he wouldn't be playing regular first team football. And surely he could work out that to be picked for England you need to be playing regularly so you can be noticed. It's his/ his agents fault. No sympathhy what so ever.

Just don't think he expected to be on the bench so much.

Lennon, no doubt.

Not only is he streets ahead on form, the signs are he is at least Wright-Phillips' equal on ability. Obviously the test is for him to keep that up, but in terms of going to the World Cup, is has to be Lennon.

That said, since when did Sven pick players on form?

Lennon, now and for the future.

SWP is good, but he hasnt had enough games this season. I do admire him though for making the most of his talent, as naturally he is probably not as talented as Pennant or Lennon.

I hope SWP leaves Chelsea in the summer, that is one serious talent going to waste, the English game cannot afford too many of them at the moment.

SWP has made a right balls-up, hasn't he? I reckon the downhill slide started when he named his kids Donnay and DiMaggio, but still...

Lennon has seized his chance, over-ridden all expectations and, for the second half of the season, has been flying on confidence almost as much as his admirable skills and lightning pace...

As with Campbell, if Sven really claims he's picking on form and fitness, he can't take SWP... but, for all his woebegone air this season - and tonight again - he is a great POTENTIAL talent, so expect him to just about hold his place in the squad...

Lennon might be unlucky on the basis we haven't had any friendly matches for a fair few months - maybe a March/April game, or a couple just before Sven announced the squad, he'd have a better chance...

Then again, there seems to be a certain popular momentum building behind him, and Sven seems to live most of his life being looked after at the Lane...
If he sneaks in, it'll probably be at the expense of the currently-injured Jenas.

Superb talent, and a joy to watch when he's terrifying defenders. At £1million, looks a snip - especially as he's established himself as a Premiership player at about the same, perhaps earlier age as/than the £12m Walcott will make his debut (who should, also, be excellent, just more suddenly, hysterically-hyped than the Lennon surprise package...)

Lennon was always touted for big things, but apparently wasnt that good at Leeds last year. All credit to Spurs for picking him up on the cheap, one of the buys of the year.

He has also been lucky with Routledge getting injured, as although he is a better player, he might not have had the opportunities as Routledge would probably have started ahead of him at the beginning of the season.

Wright-Phillips is still a much better player.

more experienced maybe, but I think in the long term, Lennon will be better. Possibly quicker, although its harder to say, and in my opinion more skilful. Not as good final ball or shot at the moment, but hes only 18. SWP wasnt this good at 18.

In the long term yes he probably will be. For this world cup it's Wright-Phillips for me. Lennon is no doubt one for the future though. :)

on this season its got to be lennon just going on the fact that he's match fit when the remainder of our squad will be hobbling around the pitch wrapped in cotton wool!

SWP is a prime example ofa player chasing the £ and not thinking about how often he would play in the first team.

Having said that I believe that Chelsea paid at least double his worth when they bought him. I would have said about £8m max. I think Chelsea paid £21m
