A win today was the WORST possible result

Still not replaced Teixeira and there's no creativity or goals from midfield.
All our eggs are in the basket of the winger from Blackburn. Other than that we're totally reliant on the injury prone LuaLua and March, and let's face it, for LuaLua it's probably last chance saloon to try and develop consistency.
We've absolutely no cover at centre half at all - with Dunk prone to suspension and Greer to injury we're hanging by a thread.
The "Judge us at the end of the transfer window" comment is now a clear indication we're shopping from the bottom of list.

Yep, a great performance today defensively but we're going to need a lot more of that (combined with jammy penalty decisions) if we're going to stay out of trouble.

Sadly, this is the sort of result that will make the happy clappies, as well as Bloom and Barber think we'll be ok this year, even though we still have no pace and creativity at all.

See Leeds away last year - the sort of top notch game that seriously papers over the cracks...and this is only a friendly too!

Agree with much of that but how would you- or any of us- know which basket, or baskets our eggs are in?

For all you know, we could be fruitlessly chasing a number of players.

I was going to post exactly the same thing!

Silly thread title though - friendly or not I always want us to win :)

Nonsense. Any prospective player would be impressed by that result and would be able to envisage a bright future at the club.

So what about the 0-0 with Lewes and the loss to Aberdeen? Were they great?

Good God you're right!
Contact the club immediately, I expect they haven't noticed, and will be stunned they could have missed something so obvious. No doubt you have a solution, involving millions of pounds and a massive wage bill

Does anyone one here actually know anything about football? It seems not many.

I did think the object was to win by getting more goals than the opposition...which we did today but if winning is "Worst Possible result" I obviously know nothing about football...
