A thread full of Brighton flights of Steps

evenin' NSC,

I enjoy running a nice flight of steps and Brighton & Hove is blessed with quite a few.

The ones I'm familar with (and I'm talking of either long, steep or a combination of both) are:

Balfour Rd
Hampstead Rd
Bevendean / Warren Road
Wild Park (up to Coldean)
Lovers Walk

Can NSC'ers sort me out with any more. There must be loads. Proper flights mind, not just 1 or 2!

Withdean? Hangleton?

Is there one off Roundhill Cres?

No steps in Hangleton. Hampstead Road for me (out of your suggested) just around the corner. Great for marathon training.

The ones in Goldstone Villas that lead down the the bus depot are my personal favorites for personal reasons.

Try Valley Drive to Redhill Drive, near Withdean Stadium.
Also one from Woodland Drive halfway up right hand side.
Only seen them, to strenuous for me to run up!!!!

Try Valley Drive to Redhill Drive, near Withdean Stadium.

They are the first ones that sprang to mind. I can't imagine ever wanting to run up them.

A real hidden gem if you like that sort of thing :weirdo:

There's also The Avenue up to Bevendean Crescent - that seemed a long walk when I was a kid

I forgot to put the Ovingdean ones on my list down to the undercliff

Yep, those are the ones. There's a small flight of steps a bit further down The Avenue leading to Hillside but they're nothing compared to these ones
